WHEN DREAMS ENDURE continues the story of Ryan and Callie Sullivan that began in DARE TO DREAM. Now, they welcome the birth of their first child and start the journey of becoming a family. The idyllic dream Callie has imagined develops some unexpected twists and turns. Her position at the House of Zolander changes dramatically, she bids a final farewell to an old friend, and she finds the good life can be stifling. Added to everything else is Ryan’s desire to have another child. She runs away to her place of refuge in Powers Woods where she was born, Cathedral Glen, seeking solace in her special spot. To her horror, she finds out the property has been bought and she can’t find out by whom.
What she doesn’t know is the buyer is Ryan. In her glen, he builds her the house of her dreams, nestled into the landscape so perfectly, it looks as though it has always been there. To keep her in the dark, he rents a house in the Tuscan city of Lucca for her to stay in while he tends to business in Florence. There, Callie is badly injured in a freak accident, threatening to turn her dream into a nightmare. It is up to Ryan to get her back at last to her new home in Cathedral Glen.
